Game Platform: Nintendo Wii
We all know that crazy ape they call “DK” for short, well he’s back and with his sidekick Diddy Kong. Donkey Kong doesn’t take the news lightly. In the opening stage, players make Donkey Kong punch a Tiki out of his home by shaking the Wii remote and nunchuck. After Donkey Kong proudly beats his chest the game begins. You could go through the jungle, but in typical Donkey Kong Country fashion there are secrets right under your nose. Hop into Donkey Kong’s hut to claim a red balloon, the game’s form of an extra life. You’ll want to stock up on these because Donkey Kong Country Returns can be quite difficult.

Episode 2: The Rhino
This video covers level 1-2: King of Cling and level 1-3: Tree Top Bop, as stated earlier this game is based off of the original DK Country Returns, everything is back up and running, even the Cranky Kong’s Shop. This episodes features DK’s Trusty friend the Rhino, who is apparently even capable of walking on the wooden spikes.
Episode 3: Cart of Doom
Moving on, it’s time to take on the challenge in 1-5: Canopy Cannons, you will encounter a series of barrels where you must time everything just right or else it’s game over (or at least you’ll have to restart from the previous checkpoint.) Make sure you collect banana coins throughout each of the levels to redeem them for more lives at the shop. After making purchases at the shop continue on to level 1-6: Crazy Cart! Avoid and jump over obstacles as your journey over a broken railroad track.
Episode 4: One Angry Boss
Here we continue back to the locked level 1-4: Sunset Shore. Everything is sunset shore seems a bit like a silhouette, or sort of resembles those Ipod commercials (see for yourself), watch out for bush monsters and other dark creepy enemies, some are hard to spot. After completing the level a path will be revealed to level 1-B: Mugly’s Mound. In order to beat the first boss Mugly, jump on his back when the spike retracts, you’ll have to approach him from behind or else you will lose a heart. The next segment of Donkey Kong continues on from the Jungle to the beach in level 2-1: Poppin’ Planks.
Episode 5: The Beach
The beach is a bit more colorful, you will meet new enemies like crawly crabs and flying owls. After being introduce to the beach you will encounter many movable platforms on your way that lead up to level 2-2: Sloppy Sands.
Episode 6: The Kraken
Welcome back, we recently just complete level 2-2, now lets move on to 2-3: Peaceful: Pier. Avoid the jumping sharks as you fly on your rocket barrel collecting banana coins and puzzle pieces, watch out for the furious pirate crabs as they launch cannon balls to steer you off course. After completing that level 2 paths will open leading either to: 2-4: Cannon Cluster or 2-6: Blowhole Bound. Looks like we decide to pass level 2-4 and continue over to 2-5: Stormy House.
Episode 7: Very Big Waves
In this walkthrough we beat level 2-6 and begin level 2-7: Tidal Terror. In Tidal Terror you’ll want to barricade yourself from the incoming tidal waves using timing and other objects in map as the tidal moves in and out. Next we will face the boss of level 2 in Pinchin’ Pirates.
